Heketi
A space where art and advocacy come together.
Art is a universal language - a vehicle to promote understanding between people from different backgrounds and with distinct stories.
In an age of unprecedented historical change, art is a powerful tool that allows us to voice concerns, inform others, and depict realities media outlets often ignore.
Heketi, meaning "one" in the Taino language, aims to bridge the gap between the world as we know it, and the one we want to achieve by using art as a vehicle.
We want to empower the world to tell its story.
Will you join us and create a better world?
Mission & Vision
Why you should join us on this adventure.
Create
A platform to teach others about the wide-reaching challenges affecting our society through written and visual art.
We are open to all publications, ranging from subject matters covered in the news to the more intimate concerns that speak to the universality of our shared experience.
Bring
Art to underserved communities, including migrants and refugees. This will be done by motivating them to tell their stories, and have their voices heard by the international community.
Take Action
On at least one of the topics discussed in a given month, with a focus on assistance at the local level.
Organize
Workshops and presentations where members can engage their local communities on their daily realities, and talk about how their artistic work relates to them.
- The Idealist's Hub
